Wouldn't surprise me if we had done the same for the first fixture at BM for similar reasons.

So that guy who said we would be asking for our first couple of games to be away because the stadium hospitality wouldn’t be ready was wrong.

It has annoyed me for quite some time. Last summer was particularly disorganised. There's no excuse not to be ready for the new season this time around.

Getting the players bought in June/July and bedding them in for 2 months is obviously more beneficial like.

September has 2 winnable home games (I know villa beat us twice but didn’t deserve to in either last season) December has a lot of away games but our away form was good last season and only really Chelsea and Arsenal that are considered top teams.

Disappointed that we are away for the first game, otherwise I am pretty happy with those fixtures overall as there are no blocks of fixtures in which we have lots of difficult games. Instead, we have a real mixed bag of fixtures.

We're winning that opener. All set up for Sky to be creaming themselves over Leeds back in the big time and we'll pummel them. Early goal and knock the stuffing out of them on our way to a 4-0 away win.

That’s a nice fixture list for us. No horrendous run of 5 matches against the top teams etc.
