Villa and Boro on route to the final in 09 were both good. The QF against Chelsea in 2016 as well. Another one that sticks in my memory is the 4-1 against Leyton Orient during Paul Gascoigne's cameo.

The perspective from phone cameras doesn’t really do it justice how big the stadium actually looks from this side. From about Wallasey town hall up towards New Brighton, there’s loads of streets leading down towards the river with the stadium dominating the background.

Apart from the obvious ones mentioned, another one that stands out is the FA cup quarter final against Chelsea in 2016. I was still queuing up at the turnstile a few minutes after kick off and had never heard just how loud the fans sound from outside the ground.

Could be wrong but I’m sure that win put us above the RS into 4th. Mad that it was only two years ago. Of course we went and Everton’d it, finished below Leeds and had two seasons of being a circus.
