I won’t be tonight. I very rarely get to Goodison Park, I’m afraid. My trips to home games are concentrated mostly on that little bit of August before the academic year starts. Ironically, my last Everton game was at Watford (in the home end). Never say never though.

Hi Bungle, I didn’t find the developments particularly surprising. Silva and Everton would have gone hand in hand, I think, but Watford stood firm. I think a lot of people expected Watford to yield to perceived ‘big money’.

Years ago, perhaps. But when it comes to Watford, it’s fair to say that money doesn’t always talk.

If this case is anything to go by, the first possibility you mentioned in this post is perhaps not as big an issue as we might think.

I know Watford have a high turnover, but there’s no guarantee he’ll leave in the summer, anyway. I feel like there’s some clutching at straws going on here.
