    The Winslow "The Peoples Pub"

Good luck to you. Real ale would make it special. Have you thought of contacting the Liverpool Organic Brewery? Local and wonderful. Ask for a friend of mine Mr John Burns from Waterloo. Mention I told you and he's a great Blue. Also it would be a great place for some really good Everton...

    GOT Country Discussion: Johnny Cash

response The first 2 Eagles albums are/where superb. Leadon was a great musician. I saw them at Liverpool Empire supporting Neil Young in 1973 and was blown away by them. Also Mannassas produced one of the great country and rock records ever with their debut double album. The great Chris...

What's the worst band you've seen live?

Its funny how we see things differently. Yes it was the same show. Im amazed you don't recall the 'heavies' at the front of the stage down in the stalls (or maybe you were elsewhere I don't know). I was in the stall about 5 rows back on the right and what I remember was these guys looked like...

What's the worst band you've seen live?

Lou Reed at Liverpool Empire in 72/73. Absolutely dreadful. Had recently charted with 'Walk On The Wild Side' so that drew a lot of punters and he played nothing like what he had prior to this tour or Velvet's stuff. Droves left the hall throughout. A near runner for that was in 75 at same venue...

    The Best Crisp

Seabrooks Chees & Onion...a Prince amongst crisps - a meal on their own. As a kid loved Tudor 'Beef & Onion' but hated 'Baked Bean' flavour in the 70's!

Best Stand up show you've seen?

His 1996 show at The Empire was when I laughed so much at Billy Connolly..but then the gags about Ken Bigley a few years later really put me off this guy and I wont bother watching him from then to this day. A few weeks ago I thought about when I was a kid and watched The Commedians. Went on...

    Roger McGough - Mersey Poet

I met Allen Ginsberg a couple of times. He talked very passionately about McGough almost in the same way he spoke about Corso/Kerouac and Dylan. Im doing a book about Dylan and need to speak to Roger about the night the Liverpool Poets took Dylan to The Blue Angel in May 65. In his book (Roger)...

    Bob Dylan - Zcars

You may wish to trawl through YouTube and try find the BBC film I made when I tracked down the kids who were pictured with Dylan that day in 1966 - the afternoon we were at Wembley v. Sheff Wed in the final. If not I will try put it on here for those who never saw it
