Well, yeah, The Athletic reported it yesterday

Mens Player of the Season. Just announced.

Brilliant news, our player of the season. However we must sign competition and an eventual successor so we can manage his minutes to get the best out of what he has left in him.

Makes a lot of sense to keep him. I think he just had his best season as an Everton player. Better than any season in his first spell here IMO.

I feel a whole lot better about the fact he'll be here next season.

Not sure he wanted to leave. The rumour was that Paris FC were interested but we were in the box seat.

Getting Idrissa resigned and Alcaraz over the line early shows we’re not messing about, brilliant news. My pots - dragged the team forward with his performances after Davey landed, huge player for us, and another leader on and off the pitch.

I was being sarcastic re the pics.....but the news does look good that hes signing.... If only BMD was so scenic! (not that its not a bad spot!)

A lot of this is PR. Being even mentioned as interested in Delap is good PR for our new owners and for the club when attainable targets become available. It's going to be a long summer.
