Sorry, mate. i think you've misread my post.
It was luck we signed him because we wanted mactee and he chose Forrest over us. So we got our second choice which was KDH.
If mactee had agreed to sign for us we wouldn't of signed KDH. So thats why...
So?
in my op i reference that i was talking about attacking players. That wasn't in the post you replied too. So sorry if there was any confusion there. Defensive players cost less then attacking.
Where players like ndiaye and satt have been...
These are the exception not the rule to be fair. If a club can consistently make those transfers the majority of the time then they've found the cheat code to modern football
I think people just want their strikers to score goals and rate them on that.
I really like barry but I understand hes a working and any striker would struggle to score goals in this team.
Obviously we need a better striker but in all honesty...
Barry is better at it than Beto, but I still don't think it's the best aspect of his game.
I actually think he looked better last match because we deviated fom our standard game plan this year of possession, and moved thr ball much quicker...
First goal doesn't happen without him carrying the ball central from the left hand side. Had a few other nice moments winning corner early on, and playing some nice switches.
Because his bad moments are a bit slapstick I don't think people...
I really think that how ungainly Barry looks when he plays make people think his touch/hold up play is worse than it actually is - there's loads of examples of him doing exactly that even just this week:
It's not outstanding but I think it's...
They have both been successes, im not saying they weren't but we need to be realistic.
KDH was good scouting but also luck as mactee turned us down and he was next on the list.
I personally dont think rohl or barry have struggled. Rohl has been...
While I disagree with the post you're replying to in isolation - obviously age doesn't equal value by itself - these two sentences are in direct opposition to each other. Part of not going back to just spaffing money on players means taking age...
£30m is what you pay for attacking potential now.
A top striker is £70m now. Thats not even with them being proven in the league.
it wasnt everton spaffing money on potential that got us into money problems it was buying "established players"...
RB and LB would do me until the summer I really do believe we are basically playing handicapped I can’t remember the last time I seen an actual overlap that led to a goal or shot on target
