Delap aside, I can’t think of a player we’ve been linked with by a credible source who we’ve missed out on yet. It’s simple really. Whilst your 1st choice targets are in play, you do what you can to get them, whilst keeping in contact with your...

Nah you can’t call it a failure until you see how it pans out. If we announce luiz kubo and vagiannidis this afternoon you can’t say the window was a failure up to that point but no longer is, that’s ridiculous. You can be disappointed by...

Ofc Mcatee would be a coup to sign. He's an exceptionally talented player who a lot of clubs are interested in
  • B
Agree, we can moan if we end up signing players who are a bit crap about why it took so long for that level - if we sign good quality then waiting has proven wise
  • B
I'd say we're probably one signing behind where we should be at this stage. No need for panic as we're clearly going after quality, which takes time. If we're sat here on 1st August and we're not signed a RW or CM my opinion will have changed.

Hard to answer until we see who actually does arrive. No real movement on a good few players who are widely known to be available who were involved in the under 21 tournament, Kubo who we've been linked with won't be available until after...

He might have input into who comes in/out but contract terms, no chance imo, that's Hammonds job and the reason we bought him here.
  • B
Just going off things I've heard that the contract length was Moyes insisting on no longer a deal. But could be bs
  • B
By and large but depends also on owners and how the DoF operates. For example moshiri one million percent threw players at managers here over the years. Over at west ham the DoF under Moyes and another manager basically no longer communicated...

At every club Moyes has been at, some very good players were signed, some awful ones and some so-so ones. He's not a transfer god, just better than anyone we've had since he left in terms of track record with this club which is all that matters...
  • B
Nah a difference between stopping a deal as you really don't want the player and the acceptance of a deal as 'ok'. Example I don't think Moyes actually really wanted Alcaraz but he's accepted him as the recruitment team really wanted him.
  • B
Nah, too simplistic that mate. Moyes will have an input and if he's strongly against yeah we won't likely bring a player in, but he's not giving the recruitment team a list of targets that we are only allowed to recruit from. Overall I'd rather...

You'd imagine at the least that in the case of all three players (Luiz included), they've been given some initial "encouragement" to pursue things further. There seems to be enough noise about each to suggest genuine interest. That might amount...

In the last few years you say. Yeah the first ever European trophy was won under TFG. Who owned them during this period and if you think we are second fiddle to Roma you're mental mate, look at the viewing figure for the two leagues. Which gives...

If you think it's a red flag then you're paranoid. Let's see first game at the new ground eh.
