Definitely could have won the league in 77/78 only for faltering at the end. 22 games unbeaten in all competitions until 2-6 v the Mancs on St Stephen's Day.

Generous to the last Mick. Body donated to medical science. The photo used in the RIP.ie notice is just lovely. BTW you can leave a message by clicking Condolences button. Always an Evertonian. God Bless Mick. https://rip.ie/death-notice/michael-meagan-churchtown-dublin/515831

    Mick Meagan RIP.

Nice tribute from Rovers. Mick and his son Mark played together against Bohs in the Cup in 1976. Now that's one for the books!! https://www.shamrockrovers.ie/2022/11/27/mick-meagan-rip/

Discussion & help on depression & mental health related issues

A Priest friend of mine gave me this priceless response to anyone constantly niggling or criticising.... "I'm sorry, but I just don't have time to worry about your opinion of me!!" Works great - very empowering,

    Mick Meagan RIP.

Sad to hear that, although 88 a good innings. Saw Mark, his son, play for Rovers in the late 70s-early 80s. Mick must be one of the last of the 40s-early 60s Irish contingent at GP. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

    Neil Robinson RIP

RIP - sad to hear. Very hazy memories of him - only 17 apps in the 70s, although he was a Walton lad. Played a good bit for Grimsby iin the 80s.
