Apologies, I should have replied to the opening post. As in not in the city of Liverpool... I assume that's what the OP meant...

Not based in the city of Cornwall?

No, it is set in the time when the Civil War was being fought (1922-1923) but the only references in the film are incidental such as characters hearing cannon and gunfire from the mainland. Also, the rather oafish Garda (policeman) who regales...

I'm sure you'll know a lot more than me about this, but apparently the film is based on the Irish civil war. I didn't pick this up at all as I pretty much know nothing about it but it would add an interesting angle

Just watched the Banshees of Inisherin. Superb. The performances from Condon, Farrell, Gleeson, Shortis and the late John Kenny were outstanding and gripping. The scenery was beautifully shot. Plenty of laughs out loud but a gripping darkness...

Lots of 150k and massive signing fees being offered. He just is taking his time choosing so he doesn't end up at a club full of abusive fans like us.

Why wouldn't he? I really don't understand this line that people keep using, as if being a back up keeper is a totally novel idea that nobody's ever done before. He's not come here expecting to oust Pickford, he's always been a 2nd choice at the...

will be a decent cup goalie and if pickford ever gets injured will be a solid backup option

Makes good sense this signing, feels like we’re fixing the roof while the sun is shining in terms of the goalkeeping position. Better to sign a good solid backup on the cheap now rather than scrambling round looking for someone if anything...

Happy with this. He's always looked solid for Bournemouth and he's been capped 4 times for Ireland. To have two keepers capable of playing at a decent - good International level is the right track for the squad.

Made some decent stops there, and couldn’t do anything for the goal. For the fee, this seems like a very decent deal for a back up gk.

Game over surely. 3-21 to 0-13 with ten minutes to go. Donegal very impressive and should be a gripping final with Kerry.

Kerry won pulling up against Tyrone yesterday - glad in a way the Dubs weren't there as I think we would be well beaten, and perhaps hurt morale going forward. As previously posted, Dessie did the right thing to call it a day and he also has two...
