My non too scientific deduction was by seeing the streets just outside the restricted area very much empty. If there was a issue with parking you'd expect the immediate outside area to be rammed.
Walking to and from the ground was incredible.
Going back to the Denbigh Castle and seeing it chaotic, again, incredible.
Walking across town after it and seeing blue everywhere was, well, incredible.
We built this city. We're the originals @davek
Years ago a mate of mine from London, Millwall fan, used to go regularly to Liverpool (the city) to work. He once told me "Look Ged, don't want to upset you but I have been in Liverpool on many saturdays and when LFC play it is packed with fans...
Yep. It was superb to see so many blues in and around the city centre on Sunday and I mean everywhere. Every notable boozer, before and after the game, was full of blues bevvying & spilling outside due to sheer numbers. Long may it continue.
I still haven’t come back down to earth yet after yesterday.
(to be fair, it is a long way down from the 61st row of our new reidence 😕)
One thing that struck me yesterday morning was how visible Everton was in the city centre.
A constant...
It’s probably to the players detriment, but versatile players are invaluable. Especially at clubs like ours, where we can’t have 2/3 players of equal quality for every position.
Playing at left back is just adding to his development. He probably understands this team play better than anyone on the pitch and can see the changes the new players are making to the play.Yep reckon he'll step up and play at a higher level as...
Plays right back, left back, midfield pivot and right midfield and does it all really well. I always watch Everton games twice first time live and struggle to be rational watching the game. Second time to analyze the game and I can't see the...
Personally I rate him, always have. He’s not top drawer by any means but he’s calm, good technique, can tackle, can pick a pass, can protect the ball and has an engine on him. Basically he can do all the basics very well.
Really looking forward to the balance of our attack now that we have someone direct who's going to run at defenders on the right. I'd assume Ndiaye will play the central 10 role now, with Dibbling right and Grealish left. Beto and Barry should be...
A massive improvement on how he played on Monday night and generally a good performance but positionally he still worries me. Gana hunts the ball so his midfield partner has to sit deeper. On occasions Tim forgot the script.
