Yeah i believe this will happen myself, signing a world class youngster doesn't take a week. Instead of smith though, i wouldn't mind us turning our attention to manny, i really cant see the big problem in signing this lad, surely 3million now and add ons next season wouldn't do much harm eh...

what im trying to get at is, we need that star player, we need that player who makes the difference between us and the rest behind us. Ok we have a few decent attacking midfielders, and the defensive midfielder is crucial in being replaced, but i can only explain it as....we just need "that"...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the clubs outside the "magnificent, untouchable top 4" with the FA CUP and the CARLING CUP last season? I'm sure they had their "houses in order" when they lifted the trophies above their heads. They have money to burn to pay for consistency for the league.
