There was mate, then the EDL got stored in it for their own safety and I'm not sure it opened again.

If it's small and stewards can easily check there's nothing untoward in contents then you should be ok. Larger bags problematic. I don't think you can bring own liquids (in case that water bottle contains something stronger!!), so best to finish...

I couldn't get in the stadium with a backpack for the first test event. They was really strict about it and couldn't even get on to The Plaza. Iirc they said max size for a bag is no bigger than an A4 piece of paper.
