The only ‘weird’ thing about the chermiti deal was that it came at a time when we didn’t have much money to spend up front. If the deal was structured in a way where didn’t have to do pay up front, there’s really nothing remotely weird about it...
I met a Plymouth supporter last year (holiday guide in India) who cursed me when he found out I was an Evertonian - blamed most of the ills of his club on us.
3rd annual trip to Majorca recently. Spent a bit more time in Cala D'Or (inc watching the Southampton game with a few scousers!), and found this cool roof top bar. Large wine and a cider for "only" 15 Euro as well!

I spent 6 weeks on a training programme in Canada when i was 18 and then 3 months on placement in the USA when i was 25. The rest are a mix of mates holidays...
Hungary is worth a look. Currently in Budapest and it's lovely. Previously I've stopped over in Debrecen (a smaller country on the East side) and that too is nice. Friendly people.
