    I watched last year's Great Escape against Palace from Egypt. Fly out there again on Tuesday and will watch our last two games from there. No worries. (Otherwise known as the Clutching at Straws tactic).

    That game was on Granada the following day and they had the yard-dog Tommy Smith in the studio to give his 'expert' opinion: McKenzie "belongs in a circus". Duncan went on to play brilliantly against Smith and his RS mates in the Clive Thomas semi-final.

    That used to be my policy as well - I'd check their score and if they were losing put it on to laugh at their demise. Istanbul 2005 put an end to that. Never watched them since unless it's against us.

    Just watched the highlights of the Colchester game you posted a while back Joey. Jimmy was brilliant that day and was really finding his best form. Unfortunately Panathinaikos manager Puskas was watching the game and they crocked him in the opening minutes of the game at Goodison.

    Big lanky striker Jenkins. Also scored against us in 1-1 draw at Goodison the following season, and I've just checked to see that he only scored two goals in his Palace career. Some things don't change!

    Scored, straight down the middle as usual. We actually started well that season and were near the top after 10 or 11 games - then fell away so badly that the Catt was 'moved upstairs' by April.

    Selling Alan Ball! Seriously I agree with the OP and would add to it Giroud's missus not wanting to move 'up north'. After that Koeman seemed to give up and started turning up like he'd just staggered in from a night on the lash.
