In tight spaces/with the game on front of him, he isn’t as effective, yet. He looks (and has always looked) really dangerous in transition and on the break. Pleased for him.

I’m surprised Moyes picked him again so soon. Much more disciplined performance, well played.

Thought he looked very comfortable tonight.

Man of the match I thought, outstanding!

If we could wave a magic wand and get our money back on both as well as upgrades being available and affordable then Moyes would surely take that. Dubious anyone would give us our money back for them. Think we’ll be stuck with loaning out Beto with an obligation to buy and persevering with...

Is that how much the pair of them cost? Yeah we’re needing massive upgrades at both fullback spot.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sidelined for a while, Moyes won’t trust him. Similar to some of the games he played at the start of last season under Dyche when we conceded a lot of goals. Midfield just far too open when he’s in there. Played through far too easily. He can definitely bring...

MOTD last highlighted how much Newcastle’s fullbacks contributed to their attack and the options they gave in possession. Everything we’re missing. We can’t function with both fullbacks unable to offer anything when we have the ball. A starting left and right back are priority signings. We’ll...

    Homepage Article Tim Iroegbunam's Opportunity

All the stuff we’ve said about him that needs to develop. Out of possession he’s miles off it, doesn’t know where to position himself, walking through the midfield. Shame. Needs a loan to learn the hard parts of the game.

That’s fair actually, he’s not a playmaker type that pings balls about or dictates the pace. Could certainly improve there too.

Agree, he can drive and dribble into space on a way few midfielders do/can. That’s a massive plus for him. It’s positional sense, discipline, where to be out of possession that he needs to work on. Some might say that comes with playing games. I think there’s an element to that, just a bit rash...

I’m Yeah would say the same for N’Diaye as well. They’re both so far above anything we’ve had in recent years, in terms of composure, quality - different level. Get a couple good fullbacks around them and a decent centre forward and they’ll be even better.

I’ve been impressed at his fitness, I thought he’d be a sick note. Worked real hard last night, impossible to get the ball from, so calm, wins loads of fouls. Great performance!
