They didn't have to put the wall in, or they could have put a temporary wall in that could easily be changed for seats. The wall has meant that the upper will be sat and that's not what you want to get the most out of the stand more often.
The Gwladys Street Stand didn't sing but the fans that went in it often would though. If people bothered to open their mouths "in support" it could be a great atmosphere. Fans need to create it - it's not like telly where you can turn the volume...
I missed the Brighton game because of work, so Villa was my first league game.
I think the atmosphere was very Goodison-esque. One of those games where a goal would have lit the blue touch paper.
It’s going to take a while to sort itself out...
Obviously the club had to put the wall in for safety reasons but you can see how it affects the stand. I'm guessing the upper part, which is huge, barely stand up during the game?
I've just read that the lower part is 5,000 and the upper is...
Everton are that cult band that if they ever secured a hit then they'll be classed as corporate sell outs. At the same time the fans of the band complain about their lack of their recognition.
Yeah ee moved yo the front row of the East Stand Upper dir the Legends game. We did get blasted with the sun, but no big deal it was a great view in a place that will be very hard to get seats in again
Calm down. To me it's a glorified St James Park with roughly the same attendance. We are in hoc with this for years. I'm sorry if you don't agree but I am underwhelmed
I was with my kids so was after a different match day but Ive said all along there's nowhere decent for fans who like to start chants to be by each other, and there's been no effort from the club, or fan groups, to organise a place neither.
I...
I reckon there were too many seats allocated to that turnstile. I got there at 2.30 hoping to walk around but the queue snaked around 3 times so we started queuing straight away and we ended up missing Z Cars. Must have been a good couple of...
The queues in thr North Stand area were really bad. 20 mins to even get in the ground. Big queues for the toilet, and big queues for a drink. I can imagine many fans will need to stretch half time over 20-25 mins.
For everyone saying that it was a pre-season friendly, look over at Roma's travelling supporters - singing for much of the match, whilst our crowd was quieter than I would have expected. I heard more singing on the South Stand concourse after the...
