Match Thread Everton Vs Newcastle. Sat Nov 29th 5.30.

What do you make of the KDH comment that we have a shift in culture, and we're trying to win and attack rather than assume we can't beat hte top teams. Do you think that's anything to do with Moyes? Do you think the 3 attacking midfielders we have, have changed the tactics, and Moyes is not...

Match Thread Manchester United 0-1 Everton Monday 24th 8pm

Hard to stop thinking about Monday night, and here is what I enjoyed the most: - we have 3 elite midfielders who can actually keep hold of the ball really well, and make sharp, forward passes. - Garner and Gueye look much better players because of them (I know Gueye didnt show it on Monday) - I...

    2025/26 David Moyes

...and also you can blood new players, give squad players 1-2 at a time, maybe when we are ahead, maybe against 'weaker' opposition . Moyes missed a beat here...Cup games at BMD are just what we needed

And its the different combinations of players too 1) they should have been fresher than the '1st team' 2) they should be fighting to get in ahead of Gana, Garner, Grealish, KDH who are now first on the team sheet 3) same with people like Travers - he could still get noticed as a reserve...

They're definitely open - 7th place has not been a very high points total Yeah I know what you mean. Maybe giving him last 30 mins was a good option, but the combinations of players dont make sense. I dont understand how with wholesale changes, there'e absolutely no cohesion, cos they must...

They really arent' the only options. Is Grealish over worked ? He's played nothing over Summer, and no international call up yet either. Same with Garner, KDH, Alcaraz...maybe NDiaye and Beto have travelled a lot, but still...we are not in the situation to have a mass rest up

    2025/26 David Moyes

on balance so far: - I was worried that it never works going back to another manager - we would again settle into a pattern of 6th - 10th position - though that is far far better than what.we have had in the last 8 years! - we would not be very ambitious But, the relegation survival was done...

Match Thread Liverpool 2-1 Everton 20th September 12:30

It's really annoying now and old, that there is obvious pro-LFC bias,in the media and refereeing, but we (Everton & title rivals) can't say anything cos we're just bitter. In the media, people like f*ing Murphy and that Steven Whatshisname who made no impact and is not a great analyst...and then...

even if we can't compete consistently, it would be good to at least see tactical nous + derby day hype = a few wins against them

Match Thread Liverpool 2-1 Everton 20th September 12:30

I was actually really encouraged by the 2nd half! We're far from getting 50-50 possession, but it was nice to see: - midfield 'bite' - grealish, gana, garner, KDH and Ndiaye - all going in for tackles, winning them - and keeping possession in tight spaces - looking to pass forward even when...

I know we've improved, and I'm a supporter of Moyes' return, but cant help thinking he gives up before the big games. His words and his vibe and his preparation have a bit of a defeatist feel to it..wonder what training is like in the build up to the big away games. do the p layers and staff...

Well, in being cautious, we still conceded, but maybe Lindstrom, Chermiti might have forced something to happen. Even Young at right back offers some more quality passing than what we have. I hope Moyes wasn't just hoping for 0-0 that's not realistic in the PL

Yeah that's s a point. Doucs is always a cautious selection

The only thing I worry about Moyes - is he still scared of taking risks, is he confident enough to take on teams and is he ultimately still a cautious manager???

I really dont understand him. But the problem is he runs forever and never gives up and so managers would obviously love him, but I cant' really say - is he a tackler, a striker, a passer, a bit of all of it nothing really stands out
