You’re right, I know, in that situation he only has a split second to react. Was more trying to make the point that some of his reactions are likely caused by what seems to be an underlying “need” to do something flashy rather than something simple.

Always get the feeling with Pickford he likes to take any opportunity to “dive for the cameras”, i.e. when he tipped it out for the corner, I imagine he thought ”this might go in”, but his overriding thought would still have been “I’ll look incredible diving and saving this”. What a berk. Olsen...

That injury surely hasn’t made him afraid of receiving the ball off our own back four.
