I get what you mean. But from what I read previously they are unlikely to make the deduction worse (otherwise it was a huge risk to appeal).
Therfore it's an opportunity to set some legal argument precedent - as we will probably be here again...
They may have potentially shot themselves in the foot...Refs will be less inclined to give them decisions if a club have hired and ex ref,and a bent one at that,to sit in the stands and watch them.

Regarding the penalties not given, if the first one was given the whole game changes and there's no saying another penalty decision arises. The same goes for the second and third ones. That's the nature of the world, one decision affects...
