He's played one game of premier league football and it sounds like you're already branding him a flop. This is why I spend so little time on this forum. Our fan base is ridiculous at times.

Did you watch him play last season? Looked immense in a lower league, give him time to settle. Clearly a good young leader too.

Decent squad players, are they not? Injury prone, yes, but not terrible players. Won't be starting much.

I always thought he was the smartest player on the pitch when he played for us the last few years. Clearly not the fastest but a true professional, and always seemed to give his all. I guess we do have a lot of depth at midfield and he wants to start. Would've been nice to see him break Giggs'...

I like him. Feels like a direct replacement for Barkley. We have some depth at midfield now, even if Barry has left.

Now that Sidgurdson is in, surely he must be thinking that there is a lot of competition in midfield. Klaasen, Scheiderlin, Gueye, Sidgurdson, Davies, Besiç and McCarthy. As much as I'd like him to stay because he's a boyhood blue, his chances of starting have got slimmer this summer...
