Bally and big Joe were my heroes when I was a lad.
I remember him coming back to Goodison right at the end of his career, he was about 36, received a standing ovation and never missed a pass.
RIP Alan Ball one of the best ever players to wear...
That day in school the news broke about his transfer … blimey it was terrible. Absolutely punishing for Blues. Probably on second to them beating us in the cup semi in ‘71.😢😢😢
As many have said, he was brilliant. The KDB comparison by @Joey66 is...
…..without doubt the greatest Everton player I’ve seen, I loved him growing up. 1966 and Everton signed 21 year old who was MoM in World Cup Final a month or so earlier and he never once failed to live up to that billing.
I remember distinctly...
Apologies if it has been posted elsewhere, but today marks 17 years since Bally died. RIP
My first footballing hero and still the best player I have ever seen in an Everton shirt.
I am sure he would have loved yesterdays result.
Just got back home in Leicester. Flipping heck what a night. I think that is actually all I can say!!!
Thanks Blues. You owed us that but it was ace!!!!
