I remember thinking we were going places when we had the country’s worst mobile phone operator as our sponsor.

I thought to myself yesterday that it’s as if Everton have woken up and we’ve found ourselves suddenly in the modern age.

Yes. The blackout isn’t sustainable. Everyone who wants to watch a 3pm game does so, and the PL don’t see a penny of that potential revenue.

I think the current broadcasting business model is on it's last legs. I imagine it will end up with a Premier League streaming service or something similar with all matches shown.

I’m only one person, but know I would. I subscribe to Sky, TNT and Amazon so I can watch every legal PL broadcast in the UK (or at least, every one that I want to watch). I hate having to resort to unreliable streams for 3pm kick-offs. Even the...

Probably wouldn't. But there's an argument that there's a group of consumers that would pay to watch but can't because it's not broadcast anywhere so instead use illegal streams.

If his game falls apart in the 2nd year and we lose 6 million so be it. Wasted far more on players who did nothing at all to deserve the cash. I think he should be ok for two as long as he doesn't pick up any serious injuries.

Two years for a player who remains at the top of his game is not a big risk. Even if he drops off a cliff, there’s a long way for him to fall before he offers nothing. It’s only two years, it’s not five.

I dont think it's a big risk. The likelihood of him falling off a cliff in the next 6 months seems low to me. So if you can get a year our of him (and this is worst case) then you only have a year of carrying his wages if he drops off. We dont...

As always the devil is in the detail. You're right, until we know an outline of his responsibilities it's hard to say for sure. Hopefully he is doing what he is best at, but we also know people don't leave utd to come to us to do the same job. He...

I wonder what his role will be at Everton… The title is one thing, the reality of the role is another. Perhaps it’ll a more natural and fitting progression than the Walshster?

It's 12 days to July. I think we'll make it.

Have you rang Everton and told them you are smarter than anyone they’ve ever spoken to on the subject? Or could it be that you’re not furnished with all the facts, knowledge or experience?

Yeah it's quite similar to the 'just sell it to the women's team for a billion and it'll all be fine' stuff. Clearly it isn't that easy, otherwise everybody would be doing it, and yet people just put it forward as if the club must be idiots not...

Yeah, he's a massive shirker. He'll keep on doing that.
