No I'm not saying that. What I mean is being the original Catholic club in the city shows the link between Ireland and Everton.
While were on the subject of "Irish Blues", where have you all gone? There seemed to be way more at the game 20+ years ago, hardly see any now, even when having a few in Town after the game. Whereas city centre bars are full of Irish when the RS are at home.

Laughabe the way peope here are trying to scold others from doing what they feel they want to do re booing. And they are completely dishonest about it too: hiding behind the 'respectability' fig leaf. None of them mention that 'kin rat just declared King of the Serfs though do they, Jug Head Charlie? That's who a national anthem is for and I hope it gets howled down.

I was last over at the Brentford game. I suppose maybe Covid and everything made everything less accessible

With a name like San Domingo you could argue the link is with Spain or Portugal given they are both catholic nations.

I think the city and its Irish immigrant roots is more of a link .
The church its linked to was a Catholic Church wasn't it? It's why I'm linking it. Catholicism being a mostly Irish thing in a largely protestant country.

Methodist but we are not Catholic or Protestant. Liverpool has a high percentage of catholics compared to the rest of the country due to irish migration but despite us having a lot of Irish players in the past we are not tied to a religion. I am Catholic but our Family was 3 blues, 2 reds and a neutral

True. My father-in-law, born in 1940s, was one of the many Catholic, scouse Everton/Celtic fans of that time (Everton had a lot of players back in the 60s who were the same). This was commonplace back then, it's definitely changed over the years though and is far more mixed nowadays- and has been for at least 40 years.
