Why would they check availability if they are contracted to to be in next weekend , it hasn't been called off yet.

Wonderful. This is way over the top and will be counter productive in that many will be completely fed up even before the funeral happens. I will be happy to go to work tomorrow to escape from this nonsense for a few hours
