Not a goalscorer. Hard worker and will chip in, but McNeil won’t, Gray won’t. We needed someone who can stick the ball in the net.

Bolliocks mate, we lost Richy and singed Maupay who over the last three seasons in open play has scored as many, dele we lost a guy who historically was a good goal scorer but in reality never scored for us and hadn't scored at a higher rate than Gray in years.

And this is key to the narrative ahead. People will say Frank didn't get his striker, but Neil Maupay is a striker. The board have played a blinder here. The manager is now front and centre. He's kept his "starboy" - but at what cost? The board will say "we gave him his striker" and "we strengthened defence and midfield." Frank is now basically left with nowhere to go. He needs to make a fist of this now - and fast.

Brereton Diaz? Doesn’t look like we’re signing him. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is injured and can’t be relied on. We’re in trouble as we can’t score

Precisely the reason we signed Maupay who has a superior goal record than Diaz at that level, and has scored a few at PL level as well.

Just so I’m clear, with the 8 signings we’ve made in this window, we’re in trouble?

With those same 8 signings plus a Champo striker who has been good for a few months (in the Champo) we are clear of trouble?

No but another 5/6 goals would be a big boost could of been the difference in actually gaining a win in one of our 5 we haven’t won yet.
