No.

He's rumoured to be asking for 500m for the club and a commitment to finish the stadium.

He's spent (so far) on shares, loans, players and stadium cost something like 800m. So even if he gets 500m (unlikely) he's looking at close to a 40% loss.

Not laundering, stupidity.

Haha and what do you believe that is? “Yes Farhad we’ll finish it we promise”. No it’s not, it’s monetary. Not for one single second do I believe Moshiri is selling us for £500m now when he could just wait 2 years and sell when the stadium is built and double his money.

If you think a deal would be done on a promise and handshake you're clearly as savvy as Kenwright.

We'll, exactly. It makes ZERO sense to sell now, it's surprising.

But, so many people are running with the story there must be something in it.

A potentially looming problem now is the level of honesty and disclosure they provided to Lampard in the event of us staying up and the limitations/potential budget in place. You'd assume he knew as a given that Richy would be going and would have spoken to him about that anyway.

He needed to have been given the ugly, warts and all truth about our finances. I hope he has been given that.

Might also be why he's trying to flog our best players to some thick Americans who have no idea who Richarlison or Gordon are. Bill probably sent a 2-minute highlight reel of Townsend and Gray to seal the deal, with the guarantee that the club will resist any and all offers for both players.

The americans who are buying the club arent thick. Maciek Kaminski came from not a whole lot got a degree in physics and biology and is now worth 100's of millions if not billions. Thorton got a bachelors at harvard and at oxford before getting his masters at yale. Both are extremely successful businessmen and are probably looking at the structure of Everton with Bill and Denise at the helm with disgust

People will complain bc they are American's. Oh well. Its a scouser Kenwright who keeps dragging this club down. Its an Iranian laundering a Russians money who put us in FFP mess. Im excited to bring some actual businessmen in to run this club like a proper organization. The fact that they are American isnt a negative to me

Lets hope you're right.

Now isn't the time for a takeover unless it's a game changing one. Moshiri needs to keep faith and steady the ship in the current turbulent waters until a wealthy buyer pops along or his bessie mate is no longer sanctioned.

If he sells to just any old cowboys now we'll be in trouble.

Exactly, it's daft the think that Everton is a money laundering exersize.

Perhaps if they'd built an 85000 seater stadium that actually converts into a 300 lane bowling alley (cash only) on non match days it would be worthy of investigation.

We're 100% not money laundering, just money disposing.
Yep. I think people may be getting confused by that fuzzy line between criminality and ineptitude. Moshiri is also probably one of those people.

Steady the ship wtf. He's sent Bill cap in hand to Levy to sell Richarlison.

I am not ITK or any sort of financial expert but my reading of the situation is that the Ukraine war was the game changer and the subsequent sanctions that followed.
It was always Usmanovs money and now he just wants as much money back as he can get even if it means big losses. He has his accountant in place to ensure his money is clean and his losses are minimised.
As for the Americans taking over is it good or is it bad? Only time will tell but none of us have any say in the matter .The last six years have been a disaster apart from the ground move and even then until we sit in our seats it's not a done deal.

Not really. It's based on other clubs American owners where the majority of fans have been unhappy at the lack of investment in relation profit:

Arsenal - Years of lack of spending despite high profits.
Aston Villa - looking to do an Everton.
Burnley - Relegated
Chelsea - Fans worried already.
Leeds United - Investment minimal
Liverpool - Only success story
Manchester United - Well documented.

If they take over, you'll have 50% of the league in some sort of American ownership.

End of the day, they'll sure look at us as a business. They do see untapped areas to make them money.

Problem is... running a club like a business doesn't bring success on the pitch for them most part. Take a look at the most successful teams in world football and 90% aren't run as a "business".

Football is an expensive hobby for billionaires now, not something to make bank over because something has to give...and for the most part it's on the pitch where it happens.

Part of the me thinks there's going to be a huge shake up in the league when all these owners get together. And it won't be for the good of what's on the pitch

The problem we have is there's no immediately obvious 'game changers' out there. Qatar maybe, but that's it.

Everyone else either already has an interest in the league (Newcastle-KSA, Man City - UAE) or will be tied to the same rules regarding sustainability.
Moshiri needs to keep faith and steady the ship in the current turbulent waters until a wealthy buyer pops along or his bessie mate is no longer sanctioned.
The EU decision on his sanctions is expected anyday now. It will be interesting to see what happens there.

Though in all honesty, the fact that neither the club or Moshiri has come out and denied the for sale stories suggest that he's maybe just lost interest. Its no fun unless you're challenging for things.
If he sells to just any old cowboys now we'll be in trouble.
We're already in trouble because he's allowed himself to be influenced by the existing board and greedy agents.

He's brought this mess on himself by not being strong enough 6 years ago.

It's a pity, but it's the truth.
