ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Does anyone have a copy of that pic with the list of all the horrible stuff this lot have been involved in over the years?

Want to reference a few when I’m told our fans are ‘scumbags’ for celebrating a win.
this mate ? It’s a bit old now but I’ve got it saved .

The Martin Tyler thing is nonsense.

They say he hates Liverpool. We say he loves Liverpool. Same with city, United, everyone. Fans of every club are convinced he supports a different team.

The truth is it's just his style which has been great over the years. Perhaps a bit long in the tooth now though.
I do wish that you had met 'video' at some point.

You know what did my heart good at the game this evening, even more than actually staying up?

The fact that a pitch invasion was done in a good-hearted, celebratory atmosphere, with a load of people partying and enjoying the moment and nobody getting hurt. Even the club clearly realised it once it became obvious they weren't going to stop it happening - playing the songs over the tannoy for us to join in with. People laughing, singing, embracing, letting off flares without hurting anyone with them... it was like watching a massive breath of fresh air after the shameful actions of those utter pigs.

I was proud of our club tonight. Manager, players and, most of all, fans. Showing that shower of vile mutants how to behave.

Not that it will get remarked upon by the media in the midst of their 'glorious redmen' fapfest. But I knew, and I understood. And so did every man woman and child inside that grand old stadium.

We are better than them. We. Are. Better. Than. Them.

Never forget it.

Is that even in their top ten worst behaviour?

I'm waiting patiently for the top scruff cards to be updated with donut scruff as an aside.

Another night where they show themselves up for being completely unable to understand what being football fan actually entails. Blokes who still aren’t able to process that signing England international and 300+ PL game Chris konchesky as a squad player wasn’t actually the end of the world just losing their minds that you might be happy at rescuing a situation that looked dire by scoring a late winner after being 2-0 down. Absolute reptiles the lot of them.

I do find that craze from them, that Everton fans enjoying a win as wrong is particularly odd. I mean I'm sure it's a bit tit for tat, but they seem genuinely confused people enjoy winning, and enjoy preserving the record seasons in the top flight.

I blame social media a lot now. There's loads of gotcha's with people trying to make an edgy point to make themselves feel better. It was funny, quite a few reds (the ones I presume who actually go to the matches) piping them down and telling them to behave, and to let people have their moment, and it was a pretty remarkable turnaround.

Lampard, who has won the absolute lot, in some cases multiple times over, said it was his biggest achievement. But some fella who works as an electrician obviously knows more about what is, or isn't worthy of celebration.

Smirking all day here me

They are fumin we’ve stayed up. Fumin.

Had a browse of RAWK earlier and one lad stated during half time ‘ I think this is the happiest I’ve ever been ‘.

A red who supports a team winning pots left and right, going for a quadruple, but it’s little arl Everton going down that makes him the happiest. If roles were reversed they wouldn’t even be relevant enough to think about, let alone comment about. Fumin they are and it’s fantastic

We've ruined their summer.

Absolutely this. People cheer a goal with a frenzy, people celebrate win, why not celebrate a win in a frenzy that keeps you in a league you belong after a perfect storm of a season involving a dinosaur manager, multiple serious injuries to key players and bent officials. Why not? And why should we care what the other lit think?

Dance like nobody's watching. :celebrate:
