He genuinely loves Everton, and everything I’ve ever seen says he is a brilliant guy. He’ll probably move on because he deserves to be playing Champions League but it should be with all our best wishes.
Without him this season, we’d be relegated. For that, he’ll always have a very special place in my heart. Get in my boy! It’s more likely than not he’ll leave in the summer, but I don’t think it’s the complete foregone conclusion some think it is.
I wouldn’t begrudge him the move to be fair, but I think he knows he’ll never be loved anywhere else in his career the way he is here.
Agree, but he's probably the player I'd be most gutted about losing (going all the way back to big Dunc in the 90s). Lukaku was up there but kind of wore the fans down with his constant stories in the media. While here he’s been mid table, top of the league and in the bottom three.
He’s tasted his own international success and been constantly and unjustly criticised by outsiders.
He’s had his original mentor buy him and get sacked, he’s had Ancelotti, Benitez and now a manager who actually understands the club.
He has put up with some crap here and has remained loyal. I really hope he stays but if he goes he owes us nothing and I wish him well.
