Yeh I get it and it’s nice for the whole club tonight but still feels odd. It’s like popping the bubbly out for getting straight E’s in your GCSE’s then fluking a B in religious studies.

It’s genuinely an achievement for them though. Let’s make no bones about this, this team is absolutely crap, but they’ve proved to us, to their manager, and to themselves that they’re good enough to stay in this league. I hope we replace most of them, but I don’t begrudge them being happy that they’ve done it.

Shed a tear when I saw him with Royle, Reidy and Sharp. True icons of the club. I so so wish he can deliver a trophy to the fanbase as we have the best supporters. And for our younger fanbase it’s far too long we’ve been waiting. Lampard has made mistakes, but he’s learning on the job. He’s won everything as a player but tonight according to him, was his proudest moment. He is one of us.
