ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Do you mean at Goodison? Barkley screamer out of nowhere, and a Lukaku goal, but Dzeko scored twice for them?

Tbh at that point half of Goodison was singing Blue Moon... lol Completely inconsequential game for us IIRC, but one that gives City the edge. Their narrative at the time was that it would be "good for the city" for us to win as well.

yeah that was the one, we were narrowly beaten by then the best team in the Country away from home and to hear that whopper Tyler, we threw the game. Could have killed Barkley when he gave us the lead with that screamer though. lol

Most silent Goodison has been for a worldie, I thought lol

Justified though, no one was arsed if we were winning or not tbh.

The Martin Tyler thing is nonsense.

They say he hates Liverpool. We say he loves Liverpool. Same with city, United, everyone. Fans of every club are convinced he supports a different team.

The truth is it's just his style which has been great over the years. Perhaps a bit long in the tooth now though.

I disliked him 40 years ago and my opinion of him has only got worse since. Barry Davies and John Motson head and shoulders above that boring old narcissistic cart

Yes it was Goodison and it was my birthday

And David Coleman, Ken Wolstenholme, Andy Gray even left him for dead.
Alan Parry is better than him but gets relegated to 1-2 EFL games a season now, Rob Hawthorne should have been promoted to number 1 and he’s been eclipsed even by Sky’s other crop including Gary Weaver, Daniel Mann, David Stowell, Seb Hutchison and Gary Taphouse (yes I’m a commentary nerd)
