Brighton away from home are a tough team to beat. A full strength Leeds would maybe hold them, but I doubt that shambolic lot will.

l'd hate for Everton to have to play them in the run in.
Probably a more difficult game away to Brighton than Arsenal in current forms

If we’d drawn v Leicester and then beaten Watford people would be feeling very good about our position. It’s only because the classic combination of ridiculous over entitlement and aversion to any form of perceived media embarrassment has resulted in fans getting overly bent out of shape about the draw at Watford.

The exact same logic people are using as to why we should have beaten Watford is the same logic we defied to beat United Chelsea Leicester. It’s football, any result can happen.

Our chances of staying up are higher after the Watford game than they were before. What more do people want?

I cant understand how fans expect these chumps who play for Everton to switch between getting behind the ball one game then taking control of it in another.

Lampard has eventually figured out (fortunately in time) that you dont confuse this lot. You tell them to work hard behind the ball and wait until you can build a move to the other end of the pitch.

It's basic but it's consistent and it's got us 11 points in the last few weeks and saved our bacon.

Football can wait until next season.

There's absolutely no way either of those two chump clubs get maximum points on Sunday.

I'm pretty sure we'll have chance when we take to the pitch at 4.30 Sunday to better what Leeds have done earlier and end this nightmare.

I'm thinking Leeds get beat and we'll need a point - and we'll get all 3.
I would hope so too but we do have to acknowledge the potential for a disaster so we can be prepared. I am sure they both said the same about our recent trip to Liecester. Spurs and Brighton could just have really bad days at the office. My point being I guess that until we are mathematically safe, we are not safe!

Spot on this.

I knew we'd struggle against Watford because we needed to dominate possession and control the game. We seriously struggle to do it.

Same brighton who went away to arsenal and spurs within the space of a week and won at both. Who have won last two games versus woves and man utd by an agg score of 7-0. Brighton have more points away than at home.
Bar possibly city and liverpool i think this is as tough a game for leeds they could have. I can see them picking leeds off with their football.
This. Brighton will football Leeds to death...the latter are standing on the trapdoor, the former will pull the lever.

Worst case scenario is we need 4 more points to stay up. I think 2 weeks ago we all anticipated needing to beat Palace and Brentford at home to have a chance of taking it to the final day. I know last nights result and performance was disappointing, but some perspective is needed. 11 points from the last 18, only 1 defeat in 6.
