Spot on. Rest players when we’re safe, which could be after Brentford if results go our way.
Rather than rest per se, I’d like to see the youth get the last few games if safe. They need to be given a couple of games to assess their ability to play next season. But it amounts to the same thing.

As for Watford, this is our chance, let’s take it and be done with this relegation stuff

Yeah but is Watford a banker? On paper all 3 should be, but fatigue and injuries is something we do have to think about.
Rather go strong at home, twice, then concentrate on these yard dogs
None are bankers, I think that’s the point he was making. Throw everything we can at every remaining game to try to accumulate the points we need sooner. If we try to be strategic and then come up against a stubborn Brentford and/or Palace then we’re done for.

hate it when we play against kids though

remember that sheffield united striker banging in the winner at goodison park

also losing to liverpool's under 5's at anfield
Total concentration and a very fast start to knock any confidence out of their snake waving tactics.
We've all seen it countless times over a plethora of different sports when the 'better' team mentally relaxes and the supposed whipping boys hang on and frustrate and cause an upset. This has the potential of being a major upset without the correct attitude.
How many times has it been said that it is harder to play against 10 men than 11? That is horse feathers. The only reason it seems 'harder' is because the team with numerical advantage mentally relax. Criminal in my book.
We play as we did against LCFC and we win this handsomely. Anything less could redress our momentum, which let's face it has taken since January 2021 to rediscover. Jeez, we desperately need to keep the good vibes, and I do believe we will.

Might give some indication as to whether Watford are up for it…

Watford have only picked up 7 points at home all season which is 2 less than Everton have gained in their away fixtures, who, as we all know hadn’t won a game away since August 2021 last Sunday morning. That shocking home form was with their ”better” players so I couldn’t care less who is or isn’t available for these London wannabes. This lot are absolute bobbins! we couldn’t of asked for a better game so let’s get in to them and get 3 more precious points.

Win this and Sunday could potentially be a carnival atmosphere
Win this and Sunday needs to be an atmosphere. If we greet them like we did against Chelsea, the inspiration may push us over the line.

I want us to finish the season with a bang: even if we’re safe, I’d love us to push on and try and beat whoever we face e.g. breaking the Arsenal voodoo would be nice.
