Tbf, I’ve never gotten how this is a stick to beat with them.

I’m an Everton fan that isn’t from Liverpool/England. You may as well slag me in the same way.

When they are at home, if you didn’t know the fixtures, you would know they’re at home because the city centre is full of people walking round with a red scarf on even the day before. They are daytrippers. They are gloryhunters. Where were these amazing fans when they had thousands of empty seats under Hodgson? These fans couldn’t tell you their Phil Babb’s from their Sean Dundee’s. They have non scouse fans who are proper fans but the vast vast majority are fairwether followers. Their scouse fans will tell you that.

Being from outside the city and being a blue is the literal opposite of being a glory hunter.

Neither am I but it's not the same. In my case, I did live in Liverpool for a few years but Evertonians can never be classed as glory-hunters. I think it's the sheer volume - 5 planes!!! It's an indication of their need for reflected glory. How many would there be if they struggled like we have for years? They're there for the 'winning' not the football. A better comparison is 5 plane loads of Scousers travelling to watch peak Barcelona. Reflected glory is what it's about. That doesn't apply to you or me.

Obviously, Liverpool will be the favourites. And it's understandable to anticipate a loss considering how mediocre we've been the last decade and how bad we are this season. But this is not a normal scenario where everyone plays to the expected outcome. There has to be a purposeful act at every play of the ball from the first kickoff to the final whistle.

We can't hide, we're going to have to hit out. There has to be an attitude to win because the situation requires a win.
lol lol...you still do not get it, do you?...this spineless club does not possess what you speak of...

Its not a dig at the overseas fans, they are fine, its more a dig at local Liverpool fans who never go near a football stadium, often wear a replica shirt and in some cases couldnt even tell you when they play next or what the last result was, but give it large about being a super red.
In Merseyside there are a lot more match going blues then reds, they have few local season ticket holders, locally they are out numbered, but they out number us when it comes to fans who only exist on social media and big up the reds in the pub...etc

I tell you what...this Blue Chrimbo had better be the best yet, if only to compensate us all a little, for the 40 years of crap we've been subjected us to by the sleeping giant that is EFC.. Denise, Bill and Mosh-man are going to have to put on some super special panto. I am well tired of all the Merseyside work houses and orphanages and borstals and wet nursing homes dictating the theme of our Blue Chrimbo panto. I could not care if we get relegated to the status of a non-league charitable trust...but If I ever have to again watch our brave brave lionhearts flouncing about as Chinese eunuchs in a remake of 'The Mikado', I think my head will fall off.

Aye, it's more about the culture of the club rather than having fans from abroad. The RS openly prioritise travelling fans over loyal local supporters.

I was talking to a ST holder last night who mentioned that he was told in the week they still had up to 7,000 (yes thousand!) tickets available for tomorrow.

This is because the club will not lower the membership quota required - focusing on those with money who will turn up, spend in the shop and whatnot.

Assuming nobody gets injured walking down the stairs today, which isn't a given...

Pickford

Coleman - Keane - Mina - Godfrey

Allan - Delph - Doucoure

Gordon - Rondon - Richarlison

Would be my side but agree with your midfield/attack.

Think Mykolenko may get hammered out wide which would shatter the kids confidence.

As much as I dont rate Coleman I think he has to play and Godfrey is horrendous at RB.

Alexander Arnold on football focus when asked is the City going to red or blue tomorrow, the arrogant little clown "its always red anyway"

Pickford

Godfrey - Keane - Holgate - Mykolenko

Allan - Delph - Doucoure

Gordon - Rondon - Richarlison

Pickford
Holgate Keane Branthwaite Godfrey
Gordon Allan Doucoure Mykolenko
Iwobi
Richarlison
I'd save Delph + Mina and drop Coleman.

2 banks of players tasked with defending with Iwobi / Richarlison harrying their players.

Human Resources send me to see a specialist in Mental and Physical Health:

Specialist: Tell me where does it hurt Mr E. Fan:

Well, Doctor Football it all started about last June when the boss left for a lucrative job in Spain - an offer he just couldn't resist. And this new boss came from that Spanish branch you see. They tell me he used to set goals in Bernabeu or something, a long time ago. It's a fahct. Anyway he treated us all like a small cloob and the atmosphere was pretty awful, except for the first few weeks and on an odd team building day out (we went down to Brighton one time and also a couple of quick trips to Leeds and Manchester near that Old Trafford Centre where we nearly grabbed a late bargain except someone else spotted that the price wasn't quite right..

Go on..

Anyway, one of the lads - right popular he was too - he's been on Garden Leave all year and so the productivity has gone down. And then a few more of the lads went down with illnesses, that Dominic bloke with the funny clothes, his mate Tom cried off.. and then worse, they brought the assessors in to oversee our work and, well, they were hypercritical and not very helpful. I remember one time Allan, the funny looking lad who worked one time in Italy, he got marched out for, well nothing really, and then there was the time we had the team over from East Manchester and things really got out of hand..

So then the owners decided they'd had enough with the Spanish bloke. Something about not really getting on with the workforce - he wasn't much of a communicator it's true. So they brought this posh lad in from darn South and, although things have improved, they still ain't right..

And what now?

Well I think there's talk that might be shutting us down - and then there will only be one branch in the city instead of two.. And I just can't cope. I mean will I be moved to Coventry or Luton or Nottingham or worse, Middlesbrough?
