ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Seriously, how are they allowed to DO this? Are there dispensation transfer windows now? They did the same thing with St Virgil as well, announced his signing before Christmas. Even with their exalted status in the media and the FA, I just don't get how this can happen...
It's quite legal. You can talk to any player you want if you have the permission of the selling club. It's the only way deals get done because they take months to draw everything up. Not that it matters in this case as his contract is up on June 1st so he can talk even without permission of his club. Plus, most of the deal was done in January when they screwed up and couldn't get it done in time.

I wish we could do something like this once in a while, but we're doomed to wait until the last day of the window and run around getting everybody else's dregs.

Mate, I'm convinced you're a RS. There's no explanation otherwise. Every time you say something like this, it's like they pin it up as motivation in their changing room. Just stop predicting things and leave it be. I can't be doing with it anymore, it infuriates me.

They won’t be happy when Klopp pisses off to Bayern to replace Nagelsmann come the end of May…
This is from my years watching Bundesliga, but there's about as much chance of Kenny Dalglish managing us as Herr Klopp managing Bayern. He grew up in the Black Forest as a VfB Stuttgart fan, who have a major, major rivalry with Bayern and they absolutely detest them. Even if that wasn't the case, he was manager of their greatest rivals and is seen as a hero at BVB. I think he actually turned them down at one point, I seem to recall. Maybe after he left Dortmund or Mainz, I can't remember. I was living in Germany at the time and Bayern fans really wanted him but he's never shown any interest.

Like him or loathe him (I'm in the latter category) I don't see him as a mercenary. He does seem to fall in love with the clubs he manages. We'd love that from one of our managers. Haven't had it since Moyes.
