No free hits for us anymore, every game is bigger than the cup final.

Another free hit gives our shithouses excuses, so no more, no matter who we are playing.

It's time they put up or shut up, and if he picks the usual suspects then they better or he needs to bomb them.

We should be going into every match like it was our last ever game and leaving everything on the pitch - something we haven't done for a long time.

Results were ok for us today - if we turn up, battle, fight and try our very best tomorrow, then we can get something out of the game, and it would be a real signal that they have listened to Frank and are willing to scrap and show character to get us out of the mess they have put us in.

No more excuses.

That's too long a time frame to judge us by.

We know that we've beaten 3 PL teams at home in Lampard's period here and that home form is key (one in the cup, yes, but that is form).

Even if we only got another 7/8 points in our last 11 games that'd put us on 32/33 points. Burnley (who I consider our only threat) would have to get 12/13 points from their remaining 10 games to get level with us. That looks very very steep for them.

If we stay up it wouldn’t surprise me given how bad the teams below are. Equally if we drop it wouldn’t surprise me given how bad we are. Our form, for a long time, is nothing short of atrocious and I’ve seen nothing so far from the Lampard era that suggests we can get anything out of the next two games. Which is pivotal no matter how some might spin it.

These games in hand are going to keep us out of reach.

Regardless of tomorrow's result, this is another round of fixtures gone by now whereby we remain out of reach from below. They will run out of fixtures eventually.

As for Leeds: 4 games in hand we have and 5 points behind them? Let's put it this way: if Burnley - who we lead by 4 points had 3 or 4 games in hand over us we'd be bricking it...and rightly so. Leeds are there to be chased down. That draw today was a bad result for them.
I see your reasoning, but, games in hand will not keep us out of reach, winning the games in hand could keep us out of reach. Are you really confident we can do that, keeping in mind our pathetic amount of league wins since September? Our form has been diabolical, especially away from home and do bear in mind that one of the games in hand is against Palace, who gave us a right old lesson last time out.

Well there's our difference of opinion.

Brentford cup game
Leeds at home
City at home
Last half hour down to 10 men aginst Newcastle

...all performances that had character and commitment.

Yes, away form is chronic. It'll need to improve. But there's nothing inevitable about us losing games away. It's just fatalism to write these next two games off.

Three points from the next two games (or even just denying Burnley at their place and getting a draw) will see us in the driving seat.

Normally not much to ask but exactly all the things we consistently fail on.

Can't see that changing tomorrow. But never saw the Brentford result coming I guess
Was more in reference to the Burnley game tbh, I don't see much happening tomorrow unless we catch West Ham on an off day.

Let’s be honest Brentford mailed it in. Leeds was a good performance but they were all over the shop at that time. Newcastle performance was shocking. Truly awful display.

All being said 4 points from next two games has us seeing relegation in the rear view mirror.
