ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Agree on most points.…….but

1. What’s wrong with ‘tourists’? Isn’t this what we’re trying to do with BMD? On this forum there’s a few OOTs & foreigners. Is that wrong?
There’s a massive difference, people who go to Anfield are there for the photo ops, spending dollar on tat then when the game actually starts they spend more time on their phones or not having a clue what’s going on on the pitch meanwhile genuine reds sit at home having to stream games or watch on Sky/BT because they can’t get tickets

OOT blues live the experience of being at Goodison, good or bad, they go the pubs and mingle with their fellow blues and actually be supporters not be there for a fun day out

There is a whole tourist industry based around anfield. A hotel that caters to Norwegia reds (owned by a Norwegian red) terraced houses set up in a hostel style to house groups of kopites , there’s a Liverpool fc tour bus ffs . Touting our anfield makes a lot of people rich . anfield is a tourist destination dressed up as a football club

It's just a bit insulting to ordinary football fans mate, for what was once a working class game. It's indicative of the globalisation of society we have seen over the last 30 years, which has caused untold damages.

Football was never about a tourist day out, and you know the scumbags who partake in that, frankly wouldn't have been seen dead at football 20 years ago.

I feel really sad for them really. The club Shankly built with his values has long gone.

They are the Muhammad Ali of the modern age, charismatic champions pleasing to watch and we’re a bashed up ex fighter who achieved little in their long forgotten career but still trash talks and rubs up against them for relevancy.

Let it go lads, they’re better in almost every conceivable way.
A once great poster who had a fondness for lists of 5 and the Wirral reminds me of that description :(
