Both Gary Beswick and Tony Harrington refereed in the Hartlepool Sunday League where I played the bulk of my football. Both are sound lads, except when Beswick booked me for no reason. I see Tony on a daily basis and he always speaks highly of our club. I can predict we're in pretty safe hands.

They both might be “sound lads” but one of them contributed to providing the farcical nonsense “not enough evidence of handball” after seeing a picture of Rodri with the football stuck to the inside of his elbow whilst sat in the same room as Kavanagh. That was as blatant a cheating decision you are ever likely to see and he was culpable, I’d be amazed if he doesn’t try and get swapped to another game.

Don't want to see Doucoure anywhere near this one personally, the challenges will be flying in from Boreham Wood and we really can't risk another injury to Doucoure. As nice as the cup is, and I'm of the generation brought up with the magic of the cup, premier league survival has to take priority

Agree with us getting a poor draw in the next round. You just know that it will be away to Man City. I just have that feeling. And they beat us with a dodgy late penalty. Not trying to be negative. But isn't that what happens to us.
To actually win this cup , everything would need to be aligned perfectly for us. Nothing this season so far has been aligned. We have been mainly useless. And we don't really do shock results. ( beating a top team. Especially away).
Negative from me........I suppose so. But this team and even Lampards approach ( 3 league defeats in 4 matches) has shown me little to get excited about. But let's see. Beat this Boreham Wood outfit comfortably. And get something at Spurs. Could change my mood.
