Yeah, I think we couldn’t do it until 60 or so. Gomes is a true liability though. Even with only one sub left he can’t stay on longer than that, surely?

The performance was patchy before that. Our passing has been slow and a yard short.

All that being said, I am happy to watch us try to play as we will get used to it in time, we have been asked to play negative all year before this so it’s understandable they’d be edgy in the first few weeks of a new style

Can we make half-time transfers? I’d say a third midfielder for Holgate to try settle us. That defence must have lumped on Newcastle winning.

Time and a place for tippy tappy football and sadly it’s never with some of these. Watching Keane, Mina, Holgate, Allan and Gomes try play out there was excruciating.

If I had to pick one more subs it would be DVB for gomes

My second choice would be DVB for Mason. Man's on a yellow and I don't trust him for 45min
