Ah, I see you're still having the same reading comprehension problems you've always had.

Try actually reading the posts instead of deciding what they say beforehand. I'm not advocating selling him, nor was I advocating selling Mina yesterday. I'm saying neither of them are irreplaceable, and if we're wanting to rebuild then selling them might not be a terrible idea. I don't want us to sell them, but I can see the logic in doing it. I mean, we've finished 12th and 10th in the last 2 years, and are currently 16th. It seems a bit odd to me that some people are so convinced all our players are great when you look at that fact. Just an observation.
WTF is that meant to mean? I've had you on ignore for a large part of my time on here so I don't believe we've had that many conversations that you can make such a statement. But I agree in as far as most of them have probably been arguments.

Yesterday and today you have argued with people who have come out and said we should keep both Mina and DCL. To a layman, that would suggest that you are in favour of selling them. I'm not a mind reader and to the best of my knowledge, nobody else on here is either. So if you don't make your position clear from your posting, then don't complain when people call you out on something that isn't true.

Furthermore, I haven't seen anybody on here, not one person, who believes that all our players are great. There are quite a few who believe all our players are crap, but not the other way around. There are however some in here, and I include myself in this group, who believe that we have the nucleus of a good team. This needs adding to in certain positions and the squad depth strengthening, and the group need managing by a decent coach. But we do not, in my opinion, need a complete overhaul as many suggest.

Does it matter as long as they are goals and winning games.
Yeah my point being he is very one dimensional and we need to play a certain style to get the best of him. He isn't very versatile. When that works then fine but I imagine he isnt the type of player that most premier league defenders will worry bout.

Whereas Rondon is a prize pudding ? DCL will take time to get match fit - being left out on Saturday is just so he can play at Newcastle .....

Lampard has stated he is going to build his team around DCL -

We sold Lukaku in 2017 and Stones in 2016 and you could argue Barkley too (I know it was a bit of a different situation).

Issue we've had is a) not replacing them in advance like good teams with money - which at the time we did have money - should do and b) not replacing them adequately

I really hope we keep Dom but if Arsenal came in with £65-70m I'd accept. I say that much because he's on a long contract and he's a good striker in the Premier League, and he's English. It's the minimum we should ask for.

I also think he gets unfairly pigeonholed as a target man when actually he's got much more to his game. I stand by that he would score 30 a season for Man City with the amount of chances they create that a striker of his type would absolutely thrive on.

It ultimately comes down to FFP for me - we all know the squad isn't good enough and simply put unless we strike gold and get a Keane or Holgate type out the door for shock good money then we could do with that one massive sale to rebalance the books and allowing Lampard the chance to spend £100+ million on 3-4 exciting good players.

With DCL's injuries recently I worry that he'll start to suffer more muscle injuries due to his style of play (a lot of jumping).

£70-75 million and we would be fools not to sell based on it would be near a full profit on the books.

For example you could bring in a quality RW like Hudson Odoi or Johnson at Notts Forest, decent CF replacement like a Tammy Abraham/Ivan Toney, a Gana replacement at CDM & commanding CB with the proceeds of the sale and strengthen the squad overall.

A lot of good points there but I doubt there would be much change from Toney/Abraham and CHO/Johnson...none of them will go cheap

Pacy, good in the air, aggressive. I reckon they would hate him.

Rondon is Horrific mate why are you even bringing him into the conversation? This isn't about him. My point being if DCL stays then fine and if we get 60-80m for him then we rebuild.

The quality of strikers that Lampard has played with I can honestly see him becoming very frustrated with DCL.

Point taken Friend, I just want to get away from danger at this time.

If he can't understand that not every striker is as brilliant as Drogba then we are in trouble!

Ivan Toney would be ideal imo, I don't actually think he would cost too much with his issues recently. I think he would push for a move to us also.

Doesn't matter with FFP mate - its done on book value so say you sell DCL for £70 million that'll be not far off £70 million profit on the books for that year based on he only cost us a few quid when we signed him.

Signing Hudson Odoi for £50 million on a 5 year deal is £10 million per yr on the books so for that year in question you're still £60 million up on the accounts (not factoring wages there just transfer fees).
