Myers is pushing the case for the galloot and has been for the last fortnight.

How is him getting the job as a caretaker until the season's end a departure from what we have now where he was all set to take it for a few games? Why would you lock yourself into a managerial search when it was here all the time - just extend it?

The Ferguson inclusion is a matter of etiquette. I remember his fellow cone layers Weir and Stubbs were interviewed by the club prior to Martinez getting the job.

The Ferguson inclusion in the final interviews is basically a position the board can pivot to if neither Lampard or Pereira convince. Basically he'd be the "kicking it into the long grass" option until May / June.

Surely to goodness they haven't put us all through this (and the candidates) to arrive at that choice?
