Has he been sacked, seeing reports everywhere on media outlets but nothing concrete. He can't be in charge in next home game the whole club is a circus. Assume its Dunc next, doubt we can afford another manager anyway could we.

The problem I have appointing Dunc is this squad could destroy his legacy just like Shearer did at Newcastle when they went down.

Lampard for me if we are looking external.

We won't end up hating Dunc if he not up to it. We both will just move on and he forge a career in the lower league.

Let's just give him a chance .

I hope he doesn't retire, because as bad as I'd feel for the fans of his next club, I'd like to see if he really is just this clueless or if agent Rafael was actually real. It's honestly hard to think he could've done more damage to the club if that was his intention all along. Shameful that this has been allowed to go on for so long.
He’s egotistical who doubles down on his position when things go wrong. In his entire career he had one real success, Valencia. At the RS he spawned the CL, then proceeded to spend £500m to get second once and have them finish below.

Napoli was ok, but following on from a successful manager. Chelsea he had world class players and delivered a trophy (but so did Roberto Di Mateo); the same with Real Madrid, except the trophy, and those fans HATED him. Inter Milan he ruined in 6 months.

His stubbornness and ego are his flaws, he’s never adapted to the modern game.

He was crap at Newcastle. It's just that crap is acceptable there. His problem is that Newcastle aren't owned by Ashley anymore, so crap is no longer an option.

I'd say he's finished.
This. If he does ever go back there, he will go from being loved to being hated. The fans won't turn on their new owners quickly, so when it goes wrong, he will take the blame. His style doesn't match what they are imagining which is attractive, progressive football and it wouldnt be accepted anymore now they are "the richest club in the world".

Imagine being a player, and you score class goal such as richie yesterday, or grays winner vs arsenal. Or just any winner. And your manager doesn't show any emotion whatsoever about it.

Why would you care when the manager apparently doesn't?

If I get good news at work, or manage to show the positive outcomes I'm getting, my manager shares in that and is happy for and with me. Makes you actually want to succeed.

Benitez problems are his own doing. Hes stubborn and arrogant and as such when things start spiraling out of control he doubled down on his stubbornness and arrogance.

We were one of the best sides in the league last season for defending and attacking set pieces. First thing he did was tear that up to instill zonal marking a system this side has proved doesnt work for us and carried on proving.

He played a two man midfield when no one plays that anymore, the only time he played 3 mam midfield was against arsenal and it worked then he dropped it again against Palace and we got destroyed.

He played coleman at left wingback when digne was on the bench. He intentionally put the team at a major disadvantage because he wanted to stroke his ego and "prove he's the boss", we lost that match.

The more the bad results start racking up the more he complicates things. No wonder keanes made so many mistakes this season he probably doesn't have a clue whats going on. When a team is doing poorly you go back to basics, not tapas tits he goes full on inception levels of complication and for as complicated as hes made it our whole strategy seems to be "get it to gray".

He is one of the worst manager this club has ever had and it was never going to work because aside from the fact he's been done as a manager since Ferguson broke him at Liverpool, his personality doesn't work at everton we get frustrated at stubbornness and we hate egos. We like a hard working, us against the world personalities with a bit of character.

Agree, it is just due to him being too stubborn.

This is the manager who would play 3 midfielders in all of his past club. The manager who will ruthlessly bench underperforming players in the past.

But when he comes here, he persist with failed tactics and failed players. It is one thing not to admit fault publicly, another to just persist with poor choices knowingly, just because he was questioned by the fans, the players, the critics, the board and the media. He literally became Agent Rafael when he started Coleman at LB. I mean, it's like a plot out of an espionage story.

If he is a real professional (like he claimed he is), he should leave with minimal compensation, bcos based on the poor run of form, he does not deserve anything. Sadly, Benitez will probably just make a bunch of excuses and blame the Board to get the most out of the contract.
