Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

So better scoring and assist record than all our center midfield?

This guy is coming in on loan, as Dobbin hasn't signed his new contract, Townsend played with an injured foot (said he couldn't shoot with his favored foot because of it), Tom Davies out for the rest of the season, Siggy never to be seen again, Richie injured still but in light training, Gordon going through a purple patch at the moment, will suffer loss of form. Iwobi is not in Fat Mans plans by the look of it as he doesn't use him.

El Carzi can play both wings and as a number 10 (as per his time at Ajax), can beat the first man at corners and set pieces, so ahead of all ours and takes a good penalty.

Financially Villa are paying half his wages and there is no loan fee?

Back up until we get the player we want in the summer!
Only an incredibly stupid club would do this...

Not going to say anything until I have seen him for us as Gray has done really well and it's not like he is coming from China like Rundon't, not a position I'd be going for and not a player I would have but we are in murky waters so accept it I suppose.

“Then last May the Netherlands international scored a winner at Goodison Park, curling an unstoppable shot from the edge of the penalty area and past Jordan Pickford.

This goal was the exception rather than the rule, though. With Aston Villa and previous club Lille, El Ghazi has taken 105 top-flight shots from outside the box and this is the only one which found the net (per Understat)”.

If you didn’t laugh you’d cry

Did you just read the headline and not the story? Troy Townsend said the atmosphere was “Toxic” not Andros Townsend.

Stuart Townsend was unavailable for comment.

Quitecright. I didn’t spot that.

Troy Townsend.

Are Villa really paying half his wages?

I've already said that he'll get a fair chance from me and admitted I was also wrong about Gray & Townsend. Was merely pointing out that his stats weren't great. Also, didn't realise he was a Center Midfielder. You live and learn!

Everton that.

Now I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve seen him El Ghazi play.

But let’s be honest signing a player (squad player) that isn’t good enough for Aston Villa’s first 11, to now come and be good enough most probably for our first 11. Just shows how far we have fallen now under Benitez. I don’t know what he’s trying to do, or what’s going on. Such and underwhelming signing. This is so frustrating.
