People writing him off already. Have a word...
Don't think anyone is writing him off but it was a tough introduction. Seeing as he's going to be first choice there's a lot of pressure on him to hit the ground running.

You mean like the £1.7m Gray who scored the equalizer and likely player of the season? Or the free back up gk who did well today? Or the free squad winger who scored the winner? Ah.... I think you meant the free Rondon. 3 out of 4 so far. Not counting the 3rd goalie who's basically a training companion. Ya. What a waste of money amirite?Time will tell on him.
Will say one thing though, there is always the chance that the manager that is losing most games whilst at Everton may not be the best person to sign players for the club.
Hope he is a great player for us but if the outdated and terrible manager is signing his players, always the risk that it's not worth the money.
Have you met Kev and friends?Don't think anyone is writing him off but it was a tough introduction. Seeing as he's going to be first choice there's a lot of pressure on him to hit the ground running.
…..I appreciate it’s his first game but I have to say I was a bit concerned with that display. I’m not keen on his movement, his gait and how he settles in a one on one against a forward.
i need convincing, he’s not what I thought.
Positives: Didn't make any horrific mistakes, looked like he knew the position, good attitude and commitment.
Negatives: Very uncomfortable in 1v1s, struggled physically in general.
I don't get responses like this. Saying this player or that player is good so that means this one will be good. You mean like the £1.7m Gray who scored the equalizer and likely player of the season? Didn't think he looked too slow personally. Not quick by any means, but by the Everton barometer, not slow either. Also slow

I don't have any issues with the gist of your message. You said yourself not every player any manager sign is going to turn out great and it takes time to tell. Why then is there a need to push the anti-Benitez agenda here? Keep it in that mess of thread. I simply pointed out that most of his signings have turned out well so far and it's nothing but agenda to use transfers as something to complain about.I don't get responses like this. Saying this player or that player is good so that means this one will be good.
By that logic , we are all wrong because benitez would sign an entire team of good players and therefore win us things, let alone games if we give him time and money. Good players win things after all!
Not every player a manager signs is great. We will find out by this time next year if our new left back is boss.
