I bet you have a right Beano in thereLove my local … it helps that a good friend of mine owns it too. It’s always been a community pub here and the lads I drink there with now ate the lads I grew up with. Times have changed though over the years and it’s much quieter on a weekday night now than if used to be but from 2pm on a Friday afternoon through to Sunday closing time it’s a fantastic pub.

Do they serve Welsh black beef a local meat - Seen it advertised on the pub lunch boards when visiting -Wrexham Later was ace .....Love my local … it helps that a good friend of mine owns it too. I remember the days when the pub closed at 15:00 in the afternoon and then opened again at 17:00 (I think). Just seems so weird thinking back

I'm sure others have said this, but... it's January, half the country has covid, and the other half's trying to avoid getting it.I have been to my 'local' tonight and there was seven people in there????
To give some context - this was also my 'local' from when I first started drinking.
I remember the place being packed to the rafters 7 nights a week.
This is not just about the demise of my local though, it just seems to be a steady decline in pubs generally.![]()

I am that man lol lolSitting at home on your tod with a case of cheap ale, is just desperate.
They should be mate ?? it’s knocked the life out of me for the past week nearly…
January is a dead month. Hardy regulars only through the week… everyone is triple jabbed so no one is really bothered about Omicron now though…

A night out is too expensive people are having others around to theirs and buying 20 bottles for a fraction of the cost compared to a pub.I have been to my 'local' tonight and there was seven people in there????
