This is our worst run since we got relegated isn’t it? So literally nobody at Everton has survive a worse run, ever, let alone under Moshiri who has been quite quick to stop the rot in the past

I said in the match day thread, I forgave him for the start of the bad run because our injuries were awful but I do not forgive the way he set us up so negatively against Palace after a massive confidence lifting win against Arsenal. After a big dig deep draw against Chelsea, home game against a Brighton team there for the taking and what do we do - dire defensive set up in the first half and STILL manage to go in 2-0 down!!! If you’re going to play defensively and go in 0-0 the fans won’t like it but at least we’d get the point. I genuinely believe that if we went at Brighton from minute one today we’d have won that match.

I think he’s lucky in the sense a) the owner is absentee so doesn’t see the damage being done firsthand and b) the same owner can’t believe that a manager of his experience could lose the dressing room in the way he obviously has

Go on then, who would you get in that would 1) come to us 2) we could afford and 3) who has a better pedigree in this league and with teams close to relegation?

If you can come up with anyone I would love to hear it mate but I can’t see it

1) anyone - many managers across Europe would love a chance to manage in the PL with a club like ours
2) anyone - pretty sure the majority of managers in Europe aren't even on half of what benitez is on because of his 'PL experience'
3) why do they need experience in this league?

I am not sure he would come given he was coaching Bayern a few years ago and he has no idea of the PL either. To come into a side this bad with no experience is a huge gamble and it’s not like he will have a lot of time at finch farm given the fixture pile up.

…FB92 more circumspect but playing 10 men behind the ball would be fine with a 1-0 win. We were 2 down in 20mins.

….whilst Carlin said it was bizarre we couldn’t see how Benitez would set-up the team, except he was very wrong. I expect he felt a bit silly after 5mins.

How have I?

I've repeatedly said for weeks maybe even months that I couldn't give a toss if he was sacked tomorrow I just dont think he will be.

The fact I backed him at the start of the season like any reasoned Evertonian should doesn't mean I back him 100% week in week out.

Im just not part of the salivating pitchfork brigade who think this squad of players are any good/being held back.
