The Red Bull argument of being ahead at the apex is weak.

Yes, he was ahead, but he was nowhere near the apex and failed to leave racing room when he just managed to slow enough to make the turn. On the edge of being out of control and reckless, again.

As for the whining about not giving back an advantage, Hamilton lifted before T9.

Quite simple really there was no way Verstappen would have completed the pass without contract so Hamilton had to go off track to avoid being taken out of the race. Just too aggressive

Verstappen was again over aggressive. Hamilton forced off track but was already ahead, so eased off slightly when back on track to give the gain back but kept ahead.

Stewards completely right, Verstappen has only himself to blame for fudging the start.
