Exactly thisAs for the Ben Godfrey thing...none of us as fancy knew who he was even though he played an entire season at Norwich in the prem and making no noticeable impact.
You think Mosh spotted the "talent"? Behave.

Exactly and it has now become FACT among our supporters. I am on other Everton groups and they are all spouting this stuff, it just furthers the boo boys. It is very divisiveAncelotti even said that he hadn’t seen Godfrey but was glad that the club had delivered him, same as Doucoure.
Some of the stuff coming out is pure revisionism to suit a frankly unhelpful anti Benitez agenda. Brands signed a three year contract recently, people who aren’t empowered in their jobs don’t do this.
Apparently it was everyone’s fault apart from his, Moshiri’s for everything before Benitez but now definitely Benitez’s fault. How convenient.
I think he is probably one of the last to go, personally Imo he is one of the last to be blamed.
That said, not being allowed to do his job, decisions over his head, managers not being chosen by him, these things alone should have made him quit.
He did sign a new contract, while taking a place on the board. Which indicates that he was trusted with, if not promised, greater control. 6 months later...Ancelotti even said that he hadn’t seen Godfrey but was glad that the club had delivered him, same as Doucoure.

Because, there is no truth in it. He would have signed a manager like Potter..... what, that was his words? Why?

….there is a suggestion Moshiri engages directly with players agents. Godfrey was on the clubs radar but not at a price that took us over FFP, it seems Moshiri ignored that and authorised the transaction.
The more we hear, the more disturbing Moshiri’s involvement is. I think time will demonstrate much of the flack aimed at Brands was incorrectly directed.
What does the situation at Everton tell you?"If he had it his way, Everton would have appointed a manager like Graham Potter,"
This tells me that most of the above is totally unsubstantiated, pure guess work.
As pointed out though, if this was the case, after three years, why sign a new contract?

Way more than a suggestion he engages directly with players agents… Kia Joorabchian is one of his best mates….there is a suggestion Moshiri engages directly with players agents. This is where it comes unstuck, it just feels like hear-say and it is gathering pace.
You have to assume that he retained hope of trying to correct things… and finally arrived at the conclusion that trying to correct Kenwright and co was a total lost causes poi
