The media are very happy to overlook how basically the same group of players, minus a centre back, lost 6 games in a row last season including home losses to Burnley, Brighton, Fulham and even we beat them with Siggurdson scoring. Can anyone explain how this team that has blasted everyone off the park for 3 seasons had 6 months of football where they were getting hammered by Villa, City, even Watford after previously barely conceding a goal before that. They almost let Tom Davies win a derby against them.
I don’t know any other team who has been so unbelievably good, to then look so unbelievably poor, to come straight back to being unbelievably good again without changing their players or manager. I mean Firmino has gone from almost having to retire to claims that he invented the false 9 role, all within a few months.
Absolutely amazing, what a genius Klopp is, amazing what a bit of hard running and tactics can do isn’t it. So odd how everyone else gets found out after about a season, even Guardiola has to change his way of playing almost every season to keep it fresh, but not Klopp, what a genius, just the same formation similar 11 every game year after year blasting everyone away by record scores with even old man Milner in there. What an achievement for the only organic club in the league.
