Watches

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of Baltic watches?
I’d looking at divers under $1000 and they seem to be well regarded. My wrists are fairly slim so I can’t go too big

Sons 18th coming up in the near future. Id like to buy him a nice watch for it. I was thinking around the £1k mark ideally. Any suggestions at all?

I was thinking Tag F1 as he loves watching the F1, as we know kids are about labels and I fear some of the less known brands wouldn't be appreciated as much with his lack of knowledge..

Watches can be a highly personal choice and it also has to fit right...take him to a proper dealer and give him a budget would be my suggestion.

Heard of them, but that's it...the world is your oyster in that market, with that budget. You won't be hurting for choice, so take your time.

I think Tag F1 would be a terrific choice, but as Gwladys said, perhaps let him be a part of the choosing process...you all could do it together.

I know. Who would hide that movement, after all?

What do you need a house for? Just buy one of these!

*Unfortunately, Freddie, Fannie and Ginnie all say NO to a 30-year on this watch.

if you know a good lender surely you can wrap this into closing costs. No idea how much this watch is, so your house might need to be a minimum value. May work best in California or New York.

Or along the lines of this:

But go to the dealer under the pretence you are buying a nice watch for yourself and see if you can gauge what he would have from that - if you want to keep the surprise element on his 18th. Don't buy anything that day, armed with the model names/numbers try and search for it on the Internet. You might save yourself a good chunk of money that way.

He's suggested the F1 in the past...

Looks like thats the one!

I don't know much about Baltic...they use a Soprod movement, which is another fine and relatively inexpensive movement. You might also check out Christopher Ward, they make a 40mm trident diver that is quite cool.

This one is 40mm and new this month...about 900USD
