We can outbid Dortmund. Not saying we should get in a bidding war but money won't be an issue on that front (assuming we aren't totally skint).

I really think the money side is going to be a lot more favorable to the buyer than people think because Chelsea won't have much to say when he gets 10 starts all year. It's the next Salah/Rom/KdB.
Dortmund pay their top players more than we pay ours, and their turnover is about 50% higher than ours as well. They have no issues with FFP and have plenty of money in the bank.

We need outs first. Hopefully with a bit of luck the suspended players circumstances will have been resolved. Tosun should be fit so maybe get rid of him with a nominal fee. He might be desperate by then as he wants to be in Turkey squad if they qualify for WC. Kenny needs to go if he gets a few games and doesn't make any howlers maybe Championship club will take a chance. Delph will unfortunately hang around until summer. Gbamin we should know by then whether there is something to work with or he needs replacing hopefully he has 5-8 games under his belt and doing ok. James if he plays a few and does ok I would keep until summer. The rest I would probably wait until summer to assess unless a silly money offer comes in.

As for ins. We definitely need a RB I would also like a LB on a short term contract but if it looks like Nkounkou is doing poorly on loan maybe someone more long term. If Tosun disappears a RF who can also play as a ST. Everything else can wait until next summer.
I’m hoping next summer will be start of building a team towards the new stadium. Will be a lot of ifs involved through.

If we’re in a decent position in jan, maybe the club will try for a RB and another attacker.
Unless we get champions league, which obviously is very unlikely, I expect Richarlison to go, if we can get 80. Added to kean. With all the players leaving who are out of contract. Should give us some decent money to work with.

I’d also be looking to shift, Davies, Gomes, Holgate, Keane. Even though with Mina only having a year left, it will most likely be him. But I would give Mina a new deal, if we get a buyer for Keane.

We could easily have 170mil to play with. To add a RB, 2x wide players. 1x CB. And at least 1x Centre mid. By the start of next season Hopefully we target some really quality in them positions, all at the right age

If we can sell a few players (highly unlikely based on Brands' track record) then we should be in a good position really.

Even with players being out of contract next summer, the squad is still 'full' at about 23 players. So we really still need to sell a handful to create a pathway for youth players and new signings.

As above, Brands doesnt seem to be able to sell.

The guys we've given huge wages to are so far removed from the category of player that Hudson-Odoi is.

It would very much be an example of us learning our lesson.

At an AGM a couple of years ago Mosh said the plan was: high fee, low wages.

That should be the way we go.

That's a losing strategy. I mean it's like THE losing strategy. I can't think of a better way to ensure we stay high spending losers.

Ademola Lookman and Nikola Vlasic, both players you wish we kept, we brought in on highish fees for their status and low wages.

Rodriguez, Allan, Doucoure, all small to medium fees, enormous fees who I'm sure you'd like to replace.

Which is the losing strategy in the wake of our horrid financial position?
